The experience gained handling vast pictorial cycles has brought about the formation of a specialized team capable of planning all stages of the restoration from the fact-finding investigation through to execution and control of the microclimate.
Piacenti SpA are an independent business. Their workshops include areas for diagnostics and documentation that enable them to perform with perfect professionalism at all stages of restoration. The workshops are open to the public by appointment.
Among important works restored by Piacenti S.p.A are: the cycle of paintings by Bernardino Barbatelli (called “Poccett”, 1590) in the Certosa di Pontignano (Siena); the Cappella Migliorati by Niccolò di Pietro Gerini in the church of San Francesco, Prato (late fourteenth century); the frescoes by Girolamo di Benvenuto in Asciano (Siena); murals in Palazzo Gonzaga at Guastalla (sec. XV-XVII); the series of paintings in the Church of “Fuligno” in Florence (sec. XIV-XVIII); paintings in the interior of Palazzo Guadagni Strozzi Sacrati, Florence (sec. XVII) among others.
